LONG STORY SHORT...
I never went off to college with dreams of a career in professional services marketing. But I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
I admittedly tripped and fell into the AEC industry, having blindly submitted my resume in response to a job posting for an ENR Top 500 Design firm. At the time, I didn't know what Engineering News Record was, but I thought that Top 500 was pretty impressive. I quickly fell in love with the thrill of the RFP chase and the excitement of learning a technical subject matter that I didn’t fully grasp. As my career began to unfold, I grew accustomed to wearing a variety of hats and learned to operate under pressure.
I spent ten years working for some of Connecticut’s most prominent architecture, engineering and construction firms. In 2010 - during the height of a recession - I seized an opportunity to start my own business, as I saw people working harder with fewer resources than ever before.
The story behind the name
People call me Goose.
Aesop's famous fable, The Goose that Laid the Golden Egg, is a guiding principle for me as I conduct business on a daily basis.
Oh, and conveniently enough, I picked up the nickname Goose early in my career. People latched on to my last name (Siragusa, at the time) and ran with it. So it was only appropriate that I worked those fundamental details into the name of my company...
